It has the worst features of a chatbot and an artbot

Tomorrow we meet Pratt-L, an AI personality that blends the worst features of chatbots and artbots.

The strip originally was to run in late August, when Kate goes back to school. AI is very much in the news now, hence the move.

The story is now a flashback to Kate’s experience with Pratt-L in the previous school year that did not end well.

Floof and Sirius activate a speech program. Chatbots have only recently gained this ability; things literally change by the minute in the digital world.

Pratt-L is whiny, needy, and constantly in need of validation. It is also incompetent, clueless, and quite mystified by why its flawed output is not appreciated by Kate.
