Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees?
Here's the Proof!
BIG NEWS! My proof copies of Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees, the first FurBabies cartoon collection, just arrived and I approved them for ‘immediate’ distribution. Watch this space to find out how immediate that will actually be. (It takes a few weeks to show up on the booksellers’ websites. I will tell you when TellWell tells me.)
There are some not-so-subtle references to ‘online ordering’ in upcoming strips. Thankfully Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees? was not made by Pratt-L, which was just voted Least Improved AI Program for the third straight year.
Since this is a print on demand book you will be able to order it at any bookstore in the world and it will be printed in your approximate location and shipped to the bookseller, who will then sell it to you at regional prices (the unit of measurement is the US dollar). As Kate would say, ‘This is MAD Lit.’
Here is the hardcover. It’s a bargain since it won’t cost that much more than the paperbound version. There is also an E-book. I haven’t seen that yet.
Is the background blue, or is it orange? Are these books the same size?
(answers: the first question is a joke, second answer is Yes.) The only difference is the spine; the hardcover’s is slightly different.
Sometimes I wish there was actual natural light in this apartment so I could take pictures that don’t look like 1978 Polaroids even though Polaroids are oddly back in fashion with Gen Alpha. They were awful in the last century and they are awful now unless you are using a professional version. The only halfway decent light here is in the bathroom. Maybe I should shut the lid on the toilet, prop up the books and photograph them there. After all, Sirius’ Whirlpool Tub frequently appears in the comic strip.
The first book review is from Disney Legend Floyd Norman. (Spoiler: He liked it and added a note that the Dog Family dynamic was ‘odd, which is right up my alley’). Reviews, publicity materials and some giveaways will appear on this site and possibly on a dedicated website. Why not, I own six more domain names.
So that’s all, except I found this 1948 valentine in a local flea market and it was so perverse that I had to adapt it for the strip. Or rather, let Pratt-L adapt it.
Spoiler.
The rabbit makes this card truly weird. It is authentic and someone named Barbara kept this and all her other Valentines from 1942 to 1968 for the rest of her life. I would have liked Barbara.

The books will be available for ordering soon. If you use amazon, please leave a review after you receive it. It is only 'listed' if 50 reviews are received. I hope I can get that many. And any review is a good review. I will not pressure anyone. The book has to stand or fall on its own merits. Thank you.
I can hardly wait to see the book. Thank you for writing it and the FurBabies comic.
