Another missing strip. Here it is.
AI strikes again.
(UPDATE: The correct strip is now on Gocomics. It had to be manually uploaded.)
The GoComics uploader (Opal) once again failed to overwrite an earlier strip and so the 2/26 FurBabies appeared twice, once on the correct date and again on 2/27.
Here is the correct strip for February 27. I am proud of the artwork and the caption and distinctly displeased with Opal.
FurBabies strip for February 27, 2026
GoComics did not formerly have this problem. One advantage of an online strip is that you can change dates and rearrange strips as needed. I had to do this with literally dozens of strips in 2023 since I began drawing FurBabies in January but it didn’t appear on GoComics until June.
Winter strips were renumbered and shifted to December, while I drew entirely new ones in June. This turned out to be a great advantage since the early strips were often unsure of the character personalities. By June I had a pretty good handle on them.
As a result 90 of the early strips and some later ones that do not involve my original characters are not collected in DO CATS GROW ON CAT TREES?, which will be officially released on March 3. You can already see it on most of the big online bookstores but I wanted to be sure that the smaller ones had an equal opportunity.
The book will be available as hardcover and softcover print on demand and digital downloads from booksellers in the USA, Canada, Britain, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa and Japan. I’ve contacted a Hong Kong bookseller since they carried my last self published book.
I hope that you enjoy today’s strip and I apologize for the mixup.

The correct strip is now on GoComics. I am apparently one of two cartoonists who has had this problem...but I know of others who may not report it. When a site is this large, mistakes will happen. Still, I didn't expect lightning to strike twice.
Hi Nancy,
I'm sorry you have so much trouble with Go Comics, but I'm glad I have it as that is where you are putting Fur Babies!! I do wish they didn't cause so much trouble with it, obviously, but I was coming to your SubStack today anyway.
The reason I was coming today is to let you know, my copy of Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees was delivered last night!! I didn't get far in it, but I did start reading it and I love it so far!! Can't wait to get back to it.
