FYI, I reported the GoComics comments not working yesterday; this was the reply:
“Hello Solarbear, We're sorry that you've encountered this issue, which we are aware of. Unfortunately, the makers of the comment tool (OpenWeb), are having difficulty stabilizing their tool, resulting in intermittent disappearance from the site. We understand how frustrating this is for you, and we are in the final stages of finalizing a contract with a different comment tool platform. We hope to make the change in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience. Sincerely, The Small-But-Trying-Really-Hard Team

Hopefully the change will help that issue, at least! 💜💜 (My message to them chastised them for costing the artist revenue due to comments not working.)
Here to report that the Kobo e-book of "Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees?" reads fine on the Kobo app for Android as well as the "Read Now" from Kobo's web page. My Kobo reader is a small B&W one, so I didn't try it there. Review posted.
What I don't like about the new GoComics is that, if you want to scroll back, after two weeks it isn't possible anymore. By and by, beautiful hues of blue, very warm, though blue is considered a cold colour.
I really think the scene with Kate and the animals is so sweet. It would actually make a good Christmas card. Also, I have a lot of trouble with technology in almost everything I do, so don't fret.
The correct strip is now on GoComics. I am apparently one of two cartoonists who has had this problem...but I know of others who may not report it. When a site is this large, mistakes will happen. Still, I didn't expect lightning to strike twice.
This is beautiful! I’m so glad you shared it here.
I hope they get it together soon. I’ve been having issues with not being able to like from my comics list off and on; and I’ve noticed other strips don’t always upload right. The worst is that I miss some strips, because when I’ve looked at a day’s strips, it hasn’t been there; but if I later go back to the previous day’s, there’s one that wasn’t there when I looked at it (I hope that makes sense).
I'm sorry you have so much trouble with Go Comics, but I'm glad I have it as that is where you are putting Fur Babies!! I do wish they didn't cause so much trouble with it, obviously, but I was coming to your SubStack today anyway.
The reason I was coming today is to let you know, my copy of Do Cats Grow on Cat Trees was delivered last night!! I didn't get far in it, but I did start reading it and I love it so far!! Can't wait to get back to it.
WOW! The official announcement is on March 3 because that is when the distribution is finalized, but it's great that you got an early copy! Please leave a review when you can, and thank you!
GoComics took FurBabies on its first submission and I am grateful to them for believing in the strip and giving me a platform. Unfortunately the redo of the site last year did not, in my opinion, improve things. The uploader is no longer overwriting strips if you renumber them, and this is one of the prime advantages of being an online strip at all. Changes are intermittently applied.
Maybe I'll give GO another chance. It does carry some strips that I have read since I was a child. "Prince Valiant" being one of them, as well as your newer "Fur Babies". I hope the SNAFU pertaining to your strip is soon resolved. Best Regards, Phil
There are amazing strips on the site that I would never have heard of without it. Only one (Dark Side of the Horse) is carried by a local online paper. It's worth exploring the old favorites and the new ones, in spite of the problems. I hope that you can read FurBabies when you get there.

"As a result 90 of the early strips and some later ones that do not involve my original characters are not collected in DO CATS GROW ON CAT TREES?,"
Saving those strips for the big treasury collection?
I tried to keep the page count below 200 pages to keep the costs down and the quality up.
I really think the scene with Kate and the animals is so sweet. It would actually make a good Christmas card. Also, I have a lot of trouble with technology in almost everything I do, so don't fret.
Thank you, I am glad that you enjoy the strip.
Good news! This strip is now showing up on the site properly.

I see some strips updating later than others. This may be for a variety of reasons. If you have any problems, could you please let them know?

I cut GO comics loose a couple of years ago when they announced changes that I knew were likely to be AI.

Will do, especially since I feel honored that a celebrity cartoonist has responded to my comments.
Follow Dave Whamond when you get there. He has two great comic strips and he responds to his readers too!
